We are the people who search for love, crave for love and want to be loved. Everyone of us has a person hidden inside who is constantly looking/watching for love and care in the darkest of places they are residing.

We humans are designed in such a way that we desire love and care in order to go through the difficulties and sufferings of life.

The heart wants what it wants is very true in the sense that it means that when you want something for emotional reasons, such as when you are romantically or emotionally attracted to someone, then no amount of logic or reason can dissuade you. In other words you can’t use reason to argue against a decision that has been made for emotional reasons.

Your hearts can’t be convinced for the logical reasons. It wants to have and see what it wants to have and see.

Emily Dickinson
The title is from a letter by Emily Dickinson. The saying was popularized in 1992 when it was quoted by Woody Allen in an interview about his relationship with Soon-Yi Previn.

The heart wants what it wants is a phrase that speaks to the idea that our emotions and desires can be so strong that no matter how hard we try, we can’t help but go after what we want.
